Wilkerson Food Pantry.jpg

The Wilkerson Food Pantry was established by the Christian Women's Fellowship in the 1970’s in honor of Catherine Wilkerson, a member of Liberty Christian Church who did a great amount of work to help local families in need.  In 2000, the bequest of Naomi Hubbard allowed the church to expand the Food Pantry program.

Currently, the pantry serves over 300 local households per year with non-perishable food.  Support to the Food Pantry is given by the entire congregation and church groups as well as community service organizations, schools, Scouts groups and businesses.

The Wilkerson Food Pantry currently serves residents of Liberty or residents within the Liberty Public School boundaries.  It is available by appointment and appointments can be made between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday by calling the church office at 816-781-3621.
