Small Groups Ministries

There are a variety of small groups with similar focus and backgrounds that meet at LCC.

 

Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry: 

We are looking for knitters! Liberty Christian Church is starting a knitting ministry to craft prayer shawls. These shawls will be used by Pastor Dave during their hospital, hospice, and senior living center visits. The group will meet once a month at the church. Please contact the church office or Rev. Dave Culver for more information if you are interested. 

Progressive Theology Group: 

The group meets at the church the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month at 7:00 pm. This group takes a deeper dive into the different aspects of the Christian faith. If you are interested in joining, please contact Holly Weber for more information at hweber@kcp.com

 

Family Small Group: 
Young families meet at 6:00 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. The group is made up of families with young children (childcare provided), and it allows for parents to engage in meaningful fellowship with other adults. For more information, contact Kelly at kellys0520@yahoo.com. 

That The World May Know Study Group: 

The group meets at the church every Thursday at 7:00 pm. This group take a look at the Bible from a historical, cultural, and geographical context. If you are interested in joining, please contact Dan Ray for more information at dray29kc@gmail.com

Men’s Group:

The Men’s Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00am. The men meet for coffee and breakfast at Huey’s Café on Liberty Square. The group is fellowship based. For more information, contact Roger at rsmccollum@juno.com.  

 

Women’s Group:

The Women’s Group meets once a month on Monday evening from 7-9pm, September to May. The women meet at each other’s homes. The group is fellowship based. For more information, contact Marilyn at gandmmc@yahoo.com

Christian Women's Fellowship:

The Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) meets on the 4th Monday of every month at 1pm in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The women meet for fellowship and to study Scripture in detail. A delicious set of deserts are served after each meeting. The group ranges in age from their fifties to into their nineties.

Alpha Course Group: 

a Christian education class designed for non-religious and nominally religious members of the Liberty community.

Helping Hands:

Helping Hands is a Bible study group that meets on Sundays at 8:45 am. The group is Bible study focused, with educational theological videos as well. Group members range in age from their forties to into their eighties. For more information, contact Evelyn at evebur75@gmail.com.
