EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTER
The Swingset Preschool and Day Care was established in the early 1970s. In 2000 the name and direction were changed to the Swingset Early Childhood Education Center. The program was expanded to include a broader curriculum and a greater range of ages. The Center has established a limit of 50 children and is certified by the state of Missouri.

WILKERSON FOOD PANTRY
The Wilkerson Food Pantry was established by the Christian Women's Fellowship in the 1970s in honor of Catherine Wilkerson, a member of LCC who did a great amount of work with the needy families of the area. In 2000 the bequest of Naomi Hubbard to the Food Pantry enhanced the ability of the church to expand the program.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Habitat for Humanity, an international organization, offers a helping hand to enable low-income families to have decent and affordable housing. It requires partner families to help in he building of their homes (and/or those of others) and provides the homes at cost and with no-interest financing. Liberty Christian Church joins other churches in the northland to build a home each year, helping with construction, clean-up and providing meals to the workers.
CLAY COUNTY CLOTHES CLOSET
CLAY COUNTY CLOTHES CLOSET was organized by the Christian Women's Fellowship groups and Church Women United in Clay County a number of years ago. MICAH MINISTRIES
MICAH MINISTRIES is a service project in conjunction with the Independence Boulevard Christian Church and other churches in the area. Every Monday, approximately 300-500 homeless people are served an evening dinner and issued shoes and clothing. Usually a core of approximately 20 volunteers from Liberty Christian Church serve people with their needs.
PROJECT UPLIFT
PROJECT UPLIFT is a service project which takes place on the last Saturday of each month; delivering supplies and needs to homeless people right where they live.

FREEDOM HOUSE
FREEDOM HOUSE is the home to four ministries that Liberty Christian Church supports. Dreams and hard work have made the facility possible. Donations from throughout the private and business sectors have created a unique place where someone in need can make one stop to received food, housing, clothing and a hot meal.
The five following ministries are located in FREEDOM HOUSE.
LOVE, INC
LOVE In The Name of Christ is a national organization, with the local chapter created in the Liberty area to give assistance to those in need. Liberty Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is one of the churches that helped organize LOVE, INC. The client's needs are verified, help is secured from all available sources, and each family-unit is monitored to ensure that all avenues of assistance are accessed. LCC is an ongoing contributor. HILLCREST MINISTRIES
HILLCREST MINISTRIES is a transitional housing program for those who have experienced financial hardships or family crises and are in need of temporary housing. HILLCREST furnishes classes on parenting and life skills that include budgeting, resume writing, medical planning, and problem solving. Residents are required to work full time, and are limited to a 90-day stay. LCC is an ongoing contributor.
IN AS MUCH MINISTRIES
IN AS MUCH MINISTRIES provides groceries to those who are unable to purchase through normal channels. LCC provided inspiration for this ministry through our WILKERSON FOOD PANTRY. LCC is an ongoing contributor.
REBUILDING TOGETHER: LIBERTY
REBUILDING TOGETHER: LIBERTY chaired by Rev. Clay McQuerry, provides home repairs for families who cannot afford it. Volunteers spend a day building, rebuilding or repairing parts of homes in Liberty's neighborhoods that will last for many years. Businesses and individuals donate funds, materials as well as labor to this local ministry.
FREEEDOM HOUSE THRIFT STORE
With the recent completion of the new building, Freedom House Thrift Store celebrated its' Grand Opening on Feb. 29. The purpose of the building is two-fold: to provide an on-site resource for families in need of clothing, kitchen items, utensils or anything else in inventory; and secondly, sales revenues will help offset utility and maintenance expenses for the charities located in the building saving donated dollars for the mission of those charities.
