Effective April 15, 2009, anyone desiring to purchase Angel Food groceries can do so online!
It’s really easy:
- Go to www.angelfoodministries.org and select the link to “order online.”
- Input your zip code
- Select the host site where you want to pick up your groceries.
- Select LIBERTY CHRISTIAN CHURCH as the pickup location.
- Select the month for the order [there should only be one, but possibly may show two].
- Select the items you want to purchase
- Enter your credit/debit card information
- Note: there is a one dollar convenience fee for using a credit/debit card. It will be added to the total of your order.
- Click the button to process your order.
- Only click the button one time and wait.
- Your order will be processed and your receipt will be displayed on the screen.
- Print your receipt to show to the pickup table on Distribution Day to avoid problems.
Cutoff for online orders will be midnight on Sunday of the published cutoff date.
When you go back to this order process in future months, your computer will remember your selections as long as you don’t erase your cookies in the mean time.
Volunteers at the church do not currently have the ability to process online orders, so will not ask for your debit/credit card.
Orders MAY be placed at the church just as they have been for the last two years. EBT orders must be placed at the church. Donations to pay for groceries for another family will continue to be handled as they have been.

There is more to the Angel Food Program than you might think.
Angel Food is for everyone and anyone. It is more about saving money than anything else. Some families can find Angel Food to be an answer to many of their budget problems. Angel Food Ministries takes compassion to the next level by providing dignity based outreach - a sustainable service model that brings support back to the sponsoring church, and moves people from crisis mode to regular budgeting and healthier nutrition. Angel Food can be used to supplement and expand an Outreach effort.
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States... Church host sites handle food sales and distribution. The host sites collect orders and payments during the first part of each month. These orders are then turned in to the Angel Food main office in Monroe, Georgia. Several days later, in the same month, the host site obtains their order from a truck out of Georgia, delivered to a central church location in the city. The food is then transported to the host church for final breakout and distribution.

Generally, one basic box of food ($30.00) assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Once the basic box is purchased, customers may purchase any of the specialty boxes offered each month, such as steaks, chicken or pork. Many participants in this program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or specials an individual can purchase, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries, like most all other retail grocery stores, also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system (EBT)

It's both a Bargain and a Blessing!
Monthly Distribution Day, includes the presence of church and community volunteers who come together to perform duties ranging from setting up and filling boxes and containers to clean up or assisting disabled or elderly customers with carrying their containers to their cars.

We are an approved Angel Food Ministries Host Site!
Menus change monthly and the food is of a very high quality. The next month's menu is published about a week before the current month's Distribution Day and can be found online at:
www.angelfoodministries.com/menu.asp
We will take orders at LCC on Distribution Day and one Sunday morning prior to the next Distribution Day. See the church calendar at www.MyChurchEvents.com/calendar/calendar.aspx for specific dates and times.
When ordering or picking up food, please enter the church Fellowship Hall from the south parking lot (Mill street side) at the door with the green awning.

Distribution Dates are scheduled by Angel Food Ministries and we have no control over their schedule. Since most of the food arrives frozen, it is imperative that no time is wasted in getting the groceries to the buyer.
For that reason a strict adherence to the 9:00 to 10:30 am pick-up schedule is required.
If you cannot pick up your food, or get someone to present your receipt to pick up the food for you, your order will be donated to a hungry family at 11:00 am.
Please recognize that there is no facility to store frozen food at the church for even a short time. There can be neither exception to this nor any credit given for failure to pick up groceries. Angel Food Ministries also reserves the right to substitute items when quality or availability become a problem.
We have the opportunity to serve the Liberty Community!
